Styling an Oversized Black Blazer with OAK + FORT
How Styling an oversized black blazer is done
A black blazer is probably the most simple yet timeless item in fashion. Worn by men and women to go to work, the black blazer is now an iconic piece for every fashionista. We’ve worn it for a business meeting, a drink, a date, a restaurant or just casually on a weekend. Indeed, it’s a timeless iconic item that will never go out of style. But is it weird that I’ve never actually owned one until recently? See how I style an Oversized Black Blazer in a trendy yet comfortable way from OAK + FORT.
The perfect oversized black blazer from OAK + FORT
Personally, the most important thing when I am choosing an outfit is comfort. The worst feeling is being uncomfortable in your clothes. Truth is, it can ruin my whole day and this is definitely not something you want to witness. You might be surprised since I spend most of my time on this blog giving you a bunch of inspirations. However, wearing the latest trends is my job so wearing a comfortable outfit is a joyful moment for me. Nevertheless, I like to be presentable at any moment (you might meet your worst enemy).
In other words, I try to carefully choose my outfit to make sure no one gets hurt. The reason why a black blazer was not part of my wardrobe is because of how rigid and structured they are. However, an oversized black blazer with a very light fabric is exactly what I needed!
OAK + FORT made an oversized black blazer at a reasonable price
OAK + FORT came up with the perfect one at a very reasonable price. As a mentioned in my previous outfit article, Oak + Fort is a newbie in my wardrobe. This blazer has a very light fabric which is something I appreciate so much. It lets you move however you want without feeling stuck. The oversized shape gives you enough space to move and actually breathe. In other words, if like me you like flowy and loose clothes, this is definitely an item you should consider.
Wearing a black suit, the comfortable way
I love black suits, but never really considered wearing one myself. For some reason, I’ve always felt like they belonged in the work environment or on the red carpets. I know that my black suit outfit version is not classic but then again, life would be so boring if we didn’t push boundaries! Luckily, I found these amazing loose black cuffed pants from Zara with an elastic band. The elastic band is honestly a game changer for someone who hates jeans or tight outfits like me. Plus, it lets you eat as much food as you want without unbuttoning your pants, which for me, is a very important detail.
Forget about the white shirt, let’s have a little fun!
Pasduchas, an Australian brand, knows what an amazing fit is. Their whole collections are all about good patterns and perfect shapes. Once again, they did not disappoint me when they sent this beautiful black and beige polka dot shirt from their spring 2020 collection. The printed shirt can really give a funky touch to your outfit which is something I recommend. Of course white shirts are beautiful, but a black suit is so formal that adding a little bit of prints or colours is great.
Last touch up before you go
I accessorised this look with my favourite leopard scrunchie of the moment from Chelsea King and my favourite pair of gold earring from Maslo Jewelry. When you wear a black outfit, adding gold accessories can definitely elevate the whole look. I’ve also chose my nude mules to give a little “instagrammable” vibe to my outfit. And let’s be honest, how gorgeous are these James Smith wooden heels mules?
And this is how styling an oversized black blazer is done darling! Simple, elegant and most of all, fun!
