Jacquemus Le Petit Baci Fringed Straw Bag | Le Temps d’un Café
My review and how to wear the Jacquemus Le Petit Baci Fringed Straw Bag
Simon Porte Jacquemus is the designer of the moment and probably the year. We have seen many people wearing his cute but oh so strange VERY tiny Chiquito bag. The Jacquemus Le Petit Baci Fringed Straw Bag | Le Temps d’un Café was a bag I loved but wasn’t confident enough to buy. However, after many pictures, I convinced myself and went for this unique bag!

Le Petit Baci, the perfect summer bag
I can easily say that Simon Porte Jacquemus is the designer of the year. His vision for La femme Méditaréenne is truly something I admire and love dearly. I have to admit that my feelings towards him weren’t always the best. In fact, I thought that Le Chiquito bag or Le Grand Baci were completely insane and ridiculous.
I mean, I love the idea of an interesting accessory for a photoshoot but do people actually wear that in public? The size difference between Le Grand Baci and Le Petit Baci is quite impressive. Their names should have been L’énorme Baci and Le Mini Baci. However, I’m not here to rename his collection!
A little bit more about Le Petit Baci
Le Petit Baci from Jacquemus is a gorgeous and unique bag made of 100% raffia, leather handles and a white leather shoulder strap with gold details. You can purchase the bag for his original price, which is around 420 CAD but I’ve realised how different the price point can be. The exact same bag was 825 CAD on ModaOperandi. Patience is key and I finally found a good deal on MatchesFashion for 350 CAD.
As you may have seen during my unboxing, I was expecting this bag to be a bit bigger. I thought I would be able to fit my car keys, a small wallet, my phone and a few lipsticks in there. But I was clearly wrong since you can probably fit 1 key, a tiny cardholder and your phone will not even fit completely.
Can we all agree that Le Petit Baci from Jacquemus is not that practical? But then again, who really cares? My fringed straw bag is exactly 16.5 cm by 14 cm which is definitely not that big.
My review on my Jacquemus Le Petit Baci Fringed Straw Bag
Despite the tiny size, I’m so happy with my purchase and I do recommend this bag. The Jacquemus raffia bag is so beautiful and really makes an outfit stands out in a second! If you are a fashionista, this is the kind of bag you need in your wardrobe. The quality is also great, compare to Le Panier Soleil for example, this bag is way better. I would have never bought Le Petit Baci full price so try to look around for a good deal.
When and how to wear the Jacquemus Le Petit Baci Fringed Straw Bag
Personally, I chose the bag mainly for his very neutral colours. My favourite way of wearing it is definitely with a beige or white outfit. The bag adds an amazing unique touch to a very simple look, which is exactly why I bought it in the first place. As you may have seen in my previous posts, I love wearing Maslo Jewelry for all of my outfits. I wore cute gold accessories from them to match my bag and a printed scrunchie on my wrist from Chelsea King to stay loyal to my personal style!
I would also wear this bag to the beach with a beautiful one piece swimsuit. In fact, Shea Marie, one of my favourite blogger, wore Le Petit Baci with a swimsuit from her brand Same and it was perfection!
I honestly thought this bag would give me hard time. Surprisingly, Le Petit Baci goes with so many different options. Thanks to his very neutral colours, this beauty will go with almost all your summer outfits!
